Shipping policy

We work hard to ensure your order is packed securely and shipped promptly. Please review our shipping guidelines, rates, and delivery estimates below.

Order Processing & Handling Time

  • All standard orders are processed and packaged within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.
  • You will receive another notification with tracking information once your order has officially shipped.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

We ship all orders from Canada using Canada Post (which hands off to USPS for US deliveries). We offer flat-rate shipping with free shipping thresholds for both our Canadian and US customers:

Canada:

  • Standard Flat Rate: $16.00 CAD
  • Delivery Estimate: 2–8 business days (depending on your province)
  • Free Shipping: Free on orders of $100 CAD and up

United States:

  • Standard Flat Rate: $16.00 USD
  • Delivery Estimate: 4–10 business days (depending on your state)
  • Free Shipping: Free on orders of $100 USD and up

Customs, Duties, and Taxes (US Orders)

To ensure a seamless, surprise-free delivery experience, all orders shipped to the United States are sent DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).

  • No Surprise Fees: All import duties, customs entry fees, and processing tariffs are fully absorbed by Design by AF. You will not receive an invoice from the courier or customs authorities at your door.
  • Local Sales Tax: Standard state and local sales taxes, if legally applicable to your destination, are calculated and clearly displayed as a separate line item at checkout.

How Can I Track My Order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow up to 48 hours for the tracking information to start updating on the carrier's system.

Delivery to P.O. Boxes

Because we utilize national postal networks (Canada Post and USPS) rather than private commercial couriers, we can deliver to both residential addresses and P.O. Boxes in Canada and the United States.

Damaged Packages

If your package arrives physically damaged or the items inside are broken, please inspect the contents and contact us immediately at support@DesignByAF.ca with your order number and photos of the damage. We will work quickly to resolve the issue.
